Billy J. Cook
Dr. Cook has been in private practice since 1974. He is a native West Texan from Garden City. Both his undergraduate and graduate work was completed at the University of Houston College of Optometry. He has received his Ocular Therapeutics Certificate and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist Certificate. He lectures internationally to doctors in Australia, Canada, as well as nationally. He is a guest lecturer on practice management at the University of Houston. He has participated in extensive studies at the Disney Institute and the Ritz Carlton Learning Institute so that Vision Health Specialties may provide the best service possible. His articles have been published in the American Optometric Journal, and the Texas Optometric Journal. When not in the office, Dr. Cook can be found ice skating or playing ice hockey. He has been instrumental in introducing kettlebell and clubbell training to West Texas.

ig>Dennis K. Neely
Dr. Neely is a native West Texan, raised in Odessa. His undergraduate and graduate work was completed at UT Permian Basin; he received his doctorate in optometry from the University of Houston in 1984 and holds advanced credentials Ocular Therapeutics and Glaucoma treatment. Dr. Neely has been practicing in the Permian Basin since 1984, also having offices in Odessa and Andrews. He devotes many hours to community education, awareness, and screenings in his association with Prevent Blindness, Vision USA, and Downtown Lions Club. He is past president for the Prevent Blindness Midland Chapter. He is immediate past president of the Texas Optometric Association. Dr. Neely’s most recent work with the TOA has been to secure changes in state laws which improve the delivery of eye health care to the citizens of Texas. When not practicing optometry, Dr. Neely enjoys automobile restoration and racing.

Jeff Grigsby
Dr. Grigsby received his Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston in 1981. His reputation has spread beyond the Midland city limits; Dr. Grigsby is well known around the southwest as a top clinician, lecturer, and leader in optometry. Dr. Grigsby specializes in and had lectured extensively on contact lenses, corneal disease, diabetes and pre- and post-operative care of refractive and cataract surgery patients. Known as one who "gets things done" Dr. Grigsby served on the Board of Directors for the Texas Optometric Association for 10 years. He has chaired several committees, led numerous meetings and been recognized many times for his services to the profession of optometry and the public it serves. In 2002-2003 he served as President of that organization, the first West Texan in 25 years to do so. In addition to practicing full time he also currently serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Houston, College of Optometry where he was recently convocation speaker. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and is also currently working on a masters degree in biology with plans to use it to investigate ways to help prevent the damage diabetes can cause to the eye. He and his wife, Nancy, have four children.

Robert Sheets
Dr. Sheets completed his Doctorate of Optometry at Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon and has practiced in Midland since 1988. Dr. Sheets is one of three optometrists in the Permian Basin to be a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. In order to stay current in developments in optometry, he has completed work in the treatment and management of ocular diseases at the University of Houston and received his Ocular Therapeutics Certificate and his Optometric Glaucoma Specialist Certificate. He also has participated in several courses and seminars on refractive and laser surgery in the United States and Canada, including the Beacon Eye Institute in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Dr Sheets has served as pasat president of the West Texas Optometric Society. Dr. Sheets was born and raised in North Dakota but decided Midland winters were more favorable for his golf game. He has a wife, Dolores, and daughter, Madison. He enoys sports and travel.
